What are the F1 tyre rules?
Three dry tyres each weekend (soft, medium, hard), and in a dry race every driver must use at least two of them.

Three colours
Pirelli brings three dry Tyre compounds: red Soft is fastest but wears out quickly, yellow Medium sits in between, white Hard is slowest but lasts longest.
The two-compound rule
In a dry race each driver must use at least two different dry compounds, so everyone stops at least once. That is why the Undercut and the Pit window matter.
Rain
Green Intermediates and wets are for a damp track and blue wets for heavy rain. Once rain tyres are used, the two-compound rule no longer applies.
Why do tyres get slower?
They wear and overheat, called Degradation. A fresh set can be over a second a lap faster.
